As I look back on 2023, I am grateful for the people who supported me as I continued to build my home organization business. We officially opened our doors in January of 2022. It was slow going that first year. I worked hard to get our name out there and increase awareness. My strength in building my business I found was meeting people. Getting to know them, and in turn, they me. Not only did I meet some of the most interesting people, but I was also getting back involved in the Treasure Valley community.
I grew up in this community but had been away for almost 25 years when my husband and I decided to move back. This community I found was open, supportive, and loving. Our clients have become friends. I feel so fortunate to be part of this community that is growing, and yet, still feels like a small town. There have been many people who have moved to the area, who I find share our beliefs and values. I don’t believe they are here to change our community, but to help support it.
We have met some of the best people. Working with our clients can be a very intimate and personal adventure. In many ways we are reliving their lives with them, as we go through their things. A certain item brings memories and stories. Some make us laugh, some make us cry. These people let us into their homes, their sanctuaries, and into their lives. I thank them for being open to letting us in and sharing their world.
We’ve met some who are young families – just starting out, some who have just moved here and need help getting settled, some who are ill or elderly that need to be in assisted living, some who are living through the loss of their significant other and trying to move on, some are families moving out of the area, some are selling the homes they’ve lived in for years and moving to be with family, some are businesses who need help getting organized, some are people who simply need help getting their closet or pantry in order, some need advice of how to stage their home to sell. In all these situations we are honored to help them with whatever they need to help them feel safe, lessen their stress, and ensure their world is a little bit brighter.
Moving into 2024 I’m looking forward to continuing to build this business and meeting wonderful people. My goal now that our website is up and running, is to write a monthly blog and post weekly on social media. It is not my forte, so forgive me if I botch this up a bit. I’m just learning and I’m sure there will be some growing pains.
I appreciate all the support I’ve received from friends, family, and new acquaintances. I will continue to push and grow. I am looking forward to meeting you and assisting in making your home your sanctuary.
